{"id":7717,"date":"2019-09-30T11:23:09","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T11:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7717"},"modified":"2019-10-01T08:07:56","modified_gmt":"2019-10-01T08:07:56","slug":"mysiteevent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/mysiteevent\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]\u039f\u03bb\u03bf\u03ba\u03bb\u03b7\u03c1\u03ce\u03b8\u03b7\u03ba\u03b5 \u03c4\u03bf \u03c0\u03c1\u03cc\u03b3\u03c1\u03b1\u03bc\u03bc\u03b1 \u00ab\u039a\u03bf\u03b9\u03bd\u03c9\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae \u0395\u03bd\u03c3\u03c9\u03bc\u03ac\u03c4\u03c9\u03c3\u03b7 \u039c\u03b5\u03c4\u03b1\u03bd\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u03ce\u03bd \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u039d\u03ad\u03c9\u03bd \u03bc\u03ad\u03c3\u03c9 \u03c4\u03b7\u03c2 \u0395\u03c0\u03b9\u03c7\u03b5\u03b9\u03c1\u03b7\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc\u03c4\u03b7\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2 &#8211; MySite\u00bb [:en]Completion of the program: \u201cMigrant &#038; Youth Social Inclusion Through Entrepreneurship &#8211; #MySite\u201d[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>23 young individuals -Greeks &amp; refugees\/migrants- were supported in order to become the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SolidarityNow celebrated the completion of the \u201c<strong>Migrant &amp; Youth Social Inclusion Through Entrepreneurship\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/alles-draseis\/\">MYSITE<\/a>) program in a closing event that was held in order to celebrate entrepreneurship, employment and social inclusion, at the Blue Refugee Center in Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n<p>MYSITE lasted 18 months and was the result of a partnership among five organizations from five different European countries with the <strong>common goal<\/strong> to <strong>promote<\/strong> entrepreneurship as a means of livelihood and financial independence for young people, to <strong>promote<\/strong> the social integration of migrants and\/or refugees as well as to <strong>reintegrate <\/strong>\u00a0young people into the labor market in the five participating countries (Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Italy, Spain).<\/p>\n<p>The event for the completion of MYSITE took place on September 26<sup>th<\/sup>, as a side event of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/job-fair\/\">1<sup>st<\/sup> SolidarityNow&#8217;s Job Fair<\/a>. T<\/p>\n<p>Also, they had the opportunity to follow presentations on a variety of topics related to entrepreneurship and labor market, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SolidarityNow&#8217;s employability programs, strategy and priorities<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of the lessons learned from the program and best practices for implementing similar entrepreneurship programs<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of the program\u2019s results while the students, trainer and mentors shared their personal experiences of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MYSITE had three objectives that were achieved during its 18-month implementation, including the training of 23 young people in Athens and Thessaloniki (Greek and refugees\/migrants) on key entrepreneurship issues and job advice from experienced entrepreneurs (mentors), the development of 20 business plans with the support of trainers and mentors, and \u00a0<strong>a research on the landscape and policies for youth and migrant entrepreneurship, as well as the resources made available to young entrepreneurs in each participating country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the research aspect, SolidarityNow examined the conditions of entrepreneurship in Greece for young people and migrants, by conducting interviews with experts, young Greek and young migrant entrepreneurs. <strong>The resulting report includes information<\/strong> on the Greek national context, the legal, political and institutional framework, opportunities and measures for entrepreneurship, challenges and barriers for entrepreneurs, and recommendations for creating a better more environmentally friendly entrepreneurship environment for migrants and young people in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>Find out more about the results of the research here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Greece-National-Report.pdf\">https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Greece-National-Report.pdf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>*MYSITE was implemented with funding by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Commission in 5 EU countries (Spain, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, and Greece) by the following partners: SolidarityNow (Greece), Asociacion Socio Educativa Llere (Spain), S.F.Or.
