{"id":7764,"date":"2019-10-17T08:29:19","date_gmt":"2019-10-17T08:29:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7764"},"modified":"2019-10-17T08:29:19","modified_gmt":"2019-10-17T08:29:19","slug":"educational-activities-facilitator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/educational-activities-facilitator\/","title":{"rendered":"EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FACILITATOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u03a5\u03c0\u03bf\u03b2\u03bf\u03bb\u03ae \u03bc\u03ad\u03c7\u03c1\u03b9:\u00a0<strong>25\/10\/2019<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n\u03a4\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b8\u03b5\u03c3\u03af\u03b1:\u00a0<strong>Thessaloniki, Blue Refugee Center<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To\u00a0<\/strong>Blue Refugee Center Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Educational Activities Facilitator<\/strong>\u00a0is responsible for organizing and providing Greek Language lessons to refugees (children, youth and adults), as well as for monitoring their learning progress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide\u00a0Greek language classes, according to refugee and migrant population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups of children, youth and adults<\/li>\n<li>Organize and provide educational material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support educational, recreational and other psychosocial activities<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate referrals to available support<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with management, draft and submit project reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to other teachers in line with project objectives<\/li>\n<li>Ensure tracking and reporting of all educational activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in Education (any subject) or Greek Language and Literature<\/li>\n<li>Masters or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Intercultural Education or Teaching Greek as a second\/foreign language will be preferred<\/li>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience in educational efforts, create learning plans, develop, implement and monitor key education plans<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>Native in Greek and preferably English<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural\/vulnerable communities<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with humanitarian\/human rights\u2019 NGO will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in managing educational programs and mainly primary education projects<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Arabic or Farsi will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cEducational activities facilitator _ BRC\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
