The role is expected to be dual according to SN\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a Procurement Officer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the needs from the programs in terms of purchasing goods and services<\/li>\n<li>Perform market research according to the SN\u2019s Procurement Policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate offers both quantitatively and qualitatively and cooperate effectively with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Keep informed all interested parties as for their purchase request; ensure the cooperation between all involved departments (Programs or other, Logistics, Finance) runs efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Issue Purchase Orders following the SN\u2019s Procurement Policy.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods and services as per Purchase Request<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and review all relevant procurement records in a meticulous way.<\/li>\n<li>360 follow-up of the categories of purchases of goods and services she\/he is assigned to by the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a Logistics Officer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and support the registration and proper functioning of all assets (Asset Inventory and Warehouse Management).<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.<\/li>\n<li>Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Review transportation costs so to ensure efficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nHard Skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree (any technical university degree, BA in Economics\/Finance\/ Supply Chain Management or in Business Administration).<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Greek and English.<\/li>\n<li>Strong IT skills, specially Microsoft Office 365<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of experience, preferably in an NGO context.<\/li>\n<li>Driving license \u2013 Category B<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Soft Skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep understanding of NGOs needs and funding.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to contribute individually to the vision of SN.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organization skills.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Multi-tasking skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong time management skills; work well with deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with the Greek market and its functions.<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills; active listener, able to understand information and requirements and to explain policies and procedures in simple terms.<\/li>\n<li>Good team player.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> mentioning in the email subject\u00a0\u201cProcurement \/ Logistics officer_HQ Athens\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
