{"id":9195,"date":"2020-08-19T10:43:01","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T10:43:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=9195"},"modified":"2020-08-19T10:43:01","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T10:43:01","slug":"field-liaison-officer-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/field-liaison-officer-2\/","title":{"rendered":"FIELD LIAISON OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Project coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the implementation of a non-formal education project with built-in volunteer group creation and capacity building, in close cooperation with the key project staff<\/li>\n<li>Commit to the project purpose of offering non-formal education and school support to any and all students in need via both project staff and volunteers, with the overall aim of cultivating inclusive neighborhoods through encouraging active citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and provide guidance to a team of educators working with vulnerable populations in Thessaloniki<\/li>\n<li>Make key contacts by traveling across Thessaloniki, mobilize and eventually embed volunteer neighborhood-based networks delivering non-formal education activities<\/li>\n<li>Lead and coordinate trainings and capacity building workshops for volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Write and compile project deliverables, including manuals on non-formal education delivery and volunteer coordination<\/li>\n<li>Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with responsible staff on the development and execution of project plans and monitoring processes and results achieved against the project indicators<\/li>\n<li>Lead and motivate the project staff and volunteers, monitor activities and coordinate work<\/li>\n<li>Employ resourcefulness in project implementation and monitoring, identifying and suggesting creative solutions<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other task related to the implementation of the project as requested<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Qualifications, Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree (preferably Master\u2019s) in Humanities, Social Science, Law, Political Sciences, International Relations or related<\/li>\n<li>At least 1-year practical experience working with vulnerable populations, especially in education projects \u2013 knowledge of inclusive education practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience in volunteer coordination<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the humanitarian process<\/li>\n<li>Proven skills in networking and relationship building<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and information gathering skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing and facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and representational skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work alone and on one\u2019s own initiative<\/li>\n<li>Cultural sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of and commitment to humanitarian principles and action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cField Liaison Officer_Thessaloniki\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
