{"id":9402,"date":"2020-09-30T10:07:11","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T10:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=9402"},"modified":"2020-09-30T10:07:11","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T10:07:11","slug":"arabic-interpreter-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/arabic-interpreter-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Arabic Interpreter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date:<strong> ASAP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Status:<strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 &#8211; The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Languages: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fluent in Arabic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Responsibilities<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Interpretation<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during confidential\/private sessions with vulnerable individuals, particularly children at risk and survivors of gender-based violence;<\/li>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during protection related informative sessions, briefings, trainings etc;<\/li>\n<li>Provides written translation of documents to English or Greek;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, contributes to the identification of particular vulnerabilities and other protection-related issues;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, assists in the accompaniment of particularly vulnerable individuals to other service providers;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, participates in field-trips and other external activities;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, ensures that all beneficiaries feel comfortable and safe to share their concerns freely, as well as participate in activities;<\/li>\n<li>Respects the code of conduct of the organization, with emphasis on confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Performs other position-related duties as assigned by the respective Team Leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>\u00a0Other Duties<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in field trips, visits and assessments as requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Brief beneficiaries on running programs and inform for any relevant changes.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate beneficiaries\u2019 access to available support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Essential<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in <strong><u>Arabic<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Previous Experience in relevant position<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with refugee and migration Issues<\/li>\n<li>Cross cultural awareness and understanding<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy &amp; numeracy<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Desired<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field work experience e.g., in camps or temporary settlements<\/li>\n<li>Interest and experience to work with vulnerable groups<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Fluent in Greek or English <\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit in a single document their Resume\/CV with an introductory text in English to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by\u00a0<strong><u>October 11<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cArabic Interpreter_Thermopyles\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
