{"id":9863,"date":"2020-12-11T09:16:34","date_gmt":"2020-12-11T09:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=9863"},"modified":"2020-12-11T09:16:34","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T09:16:34","slug":"english-project-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/english-project-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]PROJECT MANAGER [:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 2 \u2013 The job holder will have sporadic contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the implementation of a refugee non-formal education project, in close cooperation with the project staff, key stakeholders, other departments and partners, and in compliance with all contractual obligations towards the donor and in accordance with the SolidarityNow SOPs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with responsible staff on the development and execution of project plans and monitoring processes and results achieved against the project indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Follow implementation plans and timetables.<\/li>\n<li>Submit activity reports.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and motivate the team, monitor activities and coordinate work.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with teaching staff to design a curriculum tailored to refugee needs and support its implementation through guidance and review when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Employ resourcefulness in project implementation and monitoring. Identify and suggest creative solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct field visits, and work and participate in field activities on an ad hoc basis.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other task related to the implementation of the project as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the field teams with the overall planning of the assigned project\u2019s activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor budget absorption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree (preferably Master\u2019s) from an accredited academic institution preferably in Education Policy, or other education related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Strong grasp of education methods, terminology, and tools<\/li>\n<li>At least 1-year practical experience in humanitarian response, preferably on refugees\u2019 education<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and in writing<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the humanitarian process<\/li>\n<li>Proven understanding and experience of advocacy and policy change work within a humanitarian context<\/li>\n<li>Proven skills in networking and relationship building<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and information gathering skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing and facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and representational skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work alone and on one\u2019s own initiative, efficient multi-tasking<\/li>\n<li>Cultural sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of and commitment to humanitarian principles and action<\/li>\n<li>Experience with institutional donors\u2019 regulations and requirements, especially UN donors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>Project Manager_Education\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
