{"id":9927,"date":"2020-12-21T13:42:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T13:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=9927"},"modified":"2020-12-21T13:42:52","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T13:42:52","slug":"english-lawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/english-lawyer\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]Lawyer [:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date: <strong>ASAP<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3- The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>Team Leader<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Job Overview<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>SN is seeking for a qualified and experienced lawyer, dealing with a wide range of law matters, that people facing multiple discriminations and marginalities must address.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities <\/strong><strong>and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct legal aid: provide legal information and advices individually or in group sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Referrals: map needs, gaps and other services; refer cases to other entities as appropriate and by providing rigorous follow-up, ensure that these cases proceed towards resolution;<\/li>\n<li>Case management: resolve problems through mediation or other informal dispute resolution mechanisms, where appropriate; intervene with a wide range of activities that vary from information provision to court representation;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of all activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum three years of experience in practicing law<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of the following areas of Greek law: asylum, human rights, family law<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of administrative, welfare or criminal law is desired<\/li>\n<li>Legal analysis: ability to identify and address legal issues for advice and representation<\/li>\n<li>Substantial experience of advising and representing individuals with some vulnerability on a professional or voluntary basis<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience of human rights\/protection work, especially of vulnerable social groups, is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Ability to cooperate effectively with other disciplines, in order to maximize the support provided to beneficiaries, as well as ability to adjust communication skills according to the age of the beneficiary<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous work within an NGO context and child protection is highly desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cLawyer_Ritsona\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
