Position: Logistics Officer
The Logistics Officer will be responsible in ensuring that all the necessary logistics of the organization are affected in the program, in addition to the above the Logistics Officer is required to manage and support, the development and proper functioning of all assets (1) Asset and warehouse Management and (2) Fleet Management.
Location: Athens (Nationwide Travel might be requested)

Responsibilities:
Asset / Inventory – Warehousing management
- Help ensuring that standard SN asset and inventory management procedures are adhered to
- Support the handling of the warehouse, transport issues and other administrative responsibilities that will be assigned to him/her
- Maintain an accurate asset and inventory tracker and support field logistics teams to do the same
- Tagging of all inventory and assets
- Ensuring that all assets are accompanied by accountability forms and users are held accountable for the assets assigned to them
- Implement warehouse policies and procedures for the receipt and dispatch of all supplies
- Ensure regular stock checks and asset and inventory verification are completed, documented and reported
- Carry out bi-annual physical stock counts including recommendations for management decisions
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly Stock Reports and disseminate relevant information to program managers and users
- In closely cooperation with the Procurement Officer in organizing, conducting and facilitating bid committee meetings in accordance with logistics handbook, procurement SOP and Bid Committee SOP
Fleet management
- Oversee the management of light vehicle fleets used in the transportation of people and light cargo ensuring safety and efficiency
- Coordinate and facilitates various transport and transport related activities such as vehicles involved in the movement of goods
- Monitor and ensure checks/preventive maintenance checks and log books are carried out and ensure that drivers follow the system consistently
- Ensure vehicle service schedules are respected and proper, timely and high-quality maintenance is done by service providers
- Ensure that all vehicles are parked in a safe and secure location after working hours in all SN work locations
- Prepare and submit regular reports including monthly fleet reports, break downs, accidents, fuel usage
- Continually improve transport systems, policies and procedures, and identify existing problems, challenges and recommend improvement measures/plans
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar level qualification Experience in Logistics or as Support officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Proven experience of a minimum of three years in humanitarian logistics
- Ability to write narrative and analytical spread sheet reports required
- Ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multicultural environment and manage a diverse and growing team
- Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Valid driving license
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to field sites
