SolidarityNow’s collaboration with the Kind Things Public Benefit Foundation strengthens the organization’s holistic response to vulnerability by combining emergency assistance to the people in need with support to the core services of the Thessaloniki Solidarity Center. The partnership began in 2024, providing support for covering people’s emergency needs, and expanded in 2025 to include support for the Thessaloniki Solidarity Center’s Social Service. This collaboration enhances the organization’s existing programming, ensuring that immediate humanitarian needs are addressed, while reinforcing the Center’s capacity to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary services.
More specifically, the two pillars of our collaboration with the Kind Things Foundation provide:
- Support for emergency needs: Emergency, short-term assistance to cover urgent and pressing needs, such as essential food and hygiene items, temporary accommodation, transportation to critical services, legal expenses, and healthcare-related costs, when no other support is available. This safety net stabilizes vulnerable individuals and families and creates the basis for longer-term empowerment and self-reliance pathways.
- Support for the Thessaloniki Solidarity Center’s Social Service: Through this partnership, the Center’s Social Service is strengthened. The Social Service is the entry point for all people, undertaking each new beneficiary’s intake, needs assessment, referrals, and holistic case management within one of Thessaloniki’s key centers for vulnerable populations.
