Job Overview

Youth Center Manager is aiming at supporting the young PoCs (18 -22) living at the Youth Shelter towards independent life

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess needs of PoCs accommodated in the Youth Shelter and provide psychosocial support
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks (approval of annual/ sick leaves, draft PRs )
  • Monitor technical status of Youth Shelter and liaise with the relevant services accordingly for its appropriate maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator, all the teams within the project and other departments in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the project
  • Participate in meetings and represent the organization
  • Draft reports on monthly basis
  • Communicate and network with all relevant actors in the field
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the donor/ Project Coordinator/ organization
  • Be aware and follow up certain donor or organizational commitments related to the implementation of the project.

Qualifications

  • University degree from an accredited academic in in Political or Social Sciences, Law, Human Rights, International Relations, Administration or other relevant field
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in coordination positions in humanitarian context;
  • Experience in working with IOs, NGOs as well as with governmental and local authorities;
  • Excellent capacities in word and excel processing and drafting in English and Greek;
  • Good knowledge and competence of IT applications and software;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and at the same time as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ability to organize and priorities workload, using initiative when appropriate;
