“Skill Up: Empowering Unemployed Youth for the Labor Market”
The program was implemented from June to December 2025 by the Employment Service of the organization’s Thessaloniki Solidarity Center, aiming to enhance the skills and career orientation of young people aged 17–29 experiencing social exclusion, with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
111 Young people benefited from “Skill Up”, while 26% of them secured employment.

“Revealing the Unseen Vulnerable Migrant Workers”
The project was implemented jointly by SolidarityNow and Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality and Diversity (G2RED) with the support from the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants’ grant programme on labour rights and labour migration, funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
The project aimed to document the scale of the precarious working conditions of vulnerable migrant workers in Greece and raise awareness regarding migrant labour rights and labour migration.
Project outcomes include:
– Joint Research Study: presenting the findings of the data collected during the project.
– Participation of 240 individuals in seminars on labor rights.
– Awareness and advocacy activities: production of audiovisual and informational materials.
Skills and Integration of Migrants, Refugees and Asylum Applicants in European Labour Markets (SIRIUS)
The Sirius program was funded by the European Union and ran for three years starting in January 2018. It involved 11 organizations from 7 countries. Sirius aimed to examine the multidimensional context in which the host country, or its policy, institutional, social, and individual conditions, act either as enablers or barriers to the integration of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers into the labor market.
The program developed a mixed-method approach and an innovative dissemination plan, including online activities, documentaries, festivals, employment exhibitions, an applied e-game, as well as scientific conferences and policy dialogue workshops. https://www.sirius-project.eu/
REWIP- Refugee Empowerment and Work Integration Program
The REWIP program was funded by the European Union to support young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers (aged 18–30) arriving in a new EU country who wish to take their first steps toward employment and social integration. REWIP achieved its goals by facilitating volunteering opportunities and providing mentoring for young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Participants could volunteer in a local organization for a limited time, learn a new profession, develop skills, and work closely with a professional mentor to guide them in their career journey.
The program was implemented by the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with Stimmuli, SolidarityNow, Ethelon, NewBees, and CESIE.
Refugees WelComB!
SolidarityNow participated in the Refugees WelComB! program, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. WelComB! was a Strategic Partnership involving seven organizations from seven countries. The program ran for 16 months and was implemented by the following partners: Kontakte für Europa e.V. (Germany), SolidarityNow (Greece), Artemisszio Alapitvany (Hungary), Associazione InformaGiovani (Italy), Madrid for Refugees (Spain), Ocean Whale (Bulgaria), and TC Buca Kaymakamligi (Turkey).
The aim of WelComB! was to explore the needs of refugees in the context of social and professional integration and to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation in this field. As part of the Strategic Partnership, two surveys were conducted across the seven countries. The results, along with integration recommendations from the participating countries, were analyzed and promoted as good practices for refugee inclusion.
Resilient Roots Initiative
SolidarityNow implemented the pilot accountability program “The Resilient Roots Initiative”, coordinated by the CIVICUS network in partnership with Keystone Accountability and Accountable Now. The program aimed to strengthen communication and interaction channels between SolidarityNow’s management and its beneficiaries.
A total of 60 young beneficiaries, including former unaccompanied minors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and women, from Athens and Thessaloniki participated in a series of activities, such as photography and radio workshops, feedback exercises (individual interviews, group meetings, satisfaction surveys), and monthly meetings.

“Migrant & Youth Social Inclusion Through Entrepreneurship”_#MySite
SolidarityNow participated in a coalition of five organizations from Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, and Malta to promote youth entrepreneurship as a tool for social integration. The program, “Social Integration of Migrants and Youth through Entrepreneurship,” aimed to highlight entrepreneurship as a means for the harmonious social inclusion of young people. Beneficiaries included third-country nationals (migrants and/or refugees) as well as young Greeks interested in entering the entrepreneurial sector.
As part of the program, a study on the entrepreneurial landscape and existing support mechanisms for youth and migrant entrepreneurship was conducted in each participating country. Additionally, 20 young participants received training in core entrepreneurship skills, along with one-on-one mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs.
