Position Summary:

Job Overview

The Female Friendly Space Facilitator acts as the coordinator of the space for women and girls. She facilitates access and ensures overall smooth functioning of the space; she conducts tailored psychosocial activities, identifies protection needs and works with other team members in providing support (including counseling and referrals); she encourages the participation of women and girls in group and individual activities (including awareness-raising on SGBV issues, among other themes, and skills-building sessions), so as to facilitate their overall integration and wellbeing in Greece.

  • Maintains a comfortable and safe environment where women and girls can participate in psychosocial activities and receive appropriate support, while also including toddlers with their mothers in the services provided

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the teaching staff, identify and provide individualized support to children with psychosocial and/or special educational needs and/or disabilities;

  • Conduct regular mapping of beneficiaries in the camp sites in Serres and Eastern Macedonia (Drama, Kavala); conduct needs assessment and service mapping ensuring the access of refugee children to formal education and non-formal education/after-school support opportunities.
  • Promote and enable the access to school for refugee children through the provision of technical and administrative support to parents and education stakeholders (RECs, public school administration and teaching staff etc.;
  • Cooperate with interpreters where needed for the provision of services and activities;
  • Closely cooperate with other team members, passing on crucial information and expressing the need of action clearly and concisely;
  • Directly support and coach beneficiaries through the usage of simple communication and moral uplifting techniques;

Required qualifications & skills

  • Register the supplier invoices, expense reports, payments and fixed assets and depreciation
  • Upload the expense invoices on My-Data platform
  • Prepare and Submit the Financial Reports & Documentation whenever is requested by Project Guidelines
  • Perform checks in contracts connected to program and projects, whenever needed.
  • Analyze and explain variances between budgets and actuals
  • Support and participate in various auditing related activities to ensure proper controls and compliance with SN policies

The ideal candidate for the Accounting and Reporting Officer position will need to possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Familiar with ERP (Navision experience preferred)
  • Experience in the NGO sector and/or European Programs, budgeting, and reporting
  • Knowledge of Greek GAAP (IFRS would be a plus)
  • Excellent use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written

Skills:

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, able to perform under pressure and deliver results. Strong communication and teamwork skills as the role demands extensive interaction with other departments and people of all levels

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and guide the ASC Employability Team.
  • Organizes and coordinates employability activities (focus groups, counselling sessions, presentations)
  • Provide employability support, job matching and career management advice to individuals from vulnerable groups.
  • Provide input in the design of new programmes relating to employability.
  • Provide information, and capacity development to individuals, tailored to their profile and career goals (including basic IT skills, interview and presentation skills, soft-skills development, CV-building, job searching, contextual information related to the Greek labour market, etc.).
  • Analyse and understand current employment context and related opportunities.
  • Use labour market information to establish partnerships and collaborations with potential employers and job-seeking platforms, creating further opportunities for the prospective jobseekers.
  • Match profile and skills of prospective jobseekers to available vacancies in SN or other suitable vacancies and opportunities.
  • Maintain and encourage appropriate referral pathways with an array of stakeholders – private sector, academic / vocational institutions, relevant state actors.
  • Carry out information and training sessions with varied groups of people.
  • Maintain a data management system to ensure that progress and data are documented and reported in accordance with relevant quality standards.
  • Prepare progress reports (narrative and quantitative).
  • Represent the Employability Team in external meetings and working groups.
  • Review workflow and provide recommendations for increased impact.
  • Create and maintain appropriate liaison with employers and networks of employers and update the relevant database accordingly

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience in employment support, recruitment, capacity building, and/or training.
  • Excellent case management skills and track record of delivering quality services to a large pool of beneficiaries
  • Knowledge of the Greek labour market, and how to navigate it to better match opportunities with the profile and skills of a candidate.
  • Well organised, structured, and self-disciplined, with excellent time-management skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills.

  • Project / team management experience.

CHILD RIGHTS, GENDER EQUALITY AND PARENTAL COUNSELLING OFFICER

Reports to: Project Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily tasks and activities of PSS staff.
  • Provide training for field teams including teachers, psychologists, and social scientists as well as project partners across Greece on psychosocial topics.
  • Support field teams to design individualized interventions for children with psychosocial and/or special educational needs and/or disabilities including parenting plans.
  • Contribute to the design and consolidation of capacity-building material for children and parents aiming at the development of soft and life skills, focusing on parenting and children’s rights, inclusion, team building, diversity, equality, racism, violence and health.
  • Create and disseminate material to sensitize children and parents on their rights and obligations.
  • Design group awareness and empowerment activities promoting civic engagement and democratic citizenship for children of all ages.
  • In collaboration with the area managers, organize and facilitate capacity building and awareness raising activities towards public schools, local parents’ and teachers’ associations, municipalities, and volunteer associations where the project operates.
  • Coordinate research, needs assessments, and conduct regular service mapping.
  • Monitor activities and results achieved against the project indicators, in collaboration with Project Coordinator, Project Area Managers, MEAL Manager and Education Expert.
  • Participate in the development of project reports and papers as appropriate.
  • Participate in the development of PSS materials, training manuals, newsletters, etc., as appropriate to the project.
  • Performing any other tasks related to the implementation of the psychosocial aspect of project as requested by the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • University degree (preferably Master’s) from an accredited academic institution in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Gender Studies, or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in supporting vulnerable social groups and particularly refugee and migrant children and their parents.
  • Excellent knowledge of children’s rights, gender equality, supportive parenting.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
  • Program planning and implementation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word business software.
  • Cross cultural awareness and flexibility.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and at the same time as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work under a distance-management scheme.
