 Duties and Responsibilities: 

  •  Lead the field team

  • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration
  • Undertake a leading role, relevant to his/her discipline, on child protection case management

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • At least 1 year of team coordination and managerial duties
  • Background in NGO environment, including sound knowledge of policy framework and Greek administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of human rights, child protection, gender equality and equity agendas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with various stakeholders and express ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
  • Commitment and willingness to work in a challenging environment and ability to produce quality work under limited guidance and supervision.
  • Fluency in Greek and English required;
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word business software.

  • Provides Greek language classes for adult beneficiaries of international protection residing in urban areas

Qualifications

  • Excellent Greek and English
  • Degree – Bachelor degree in primary education or Greek philology
  • Certification of the teaching qualification of Trainers for Adults in non-formal education (attributed by National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance)
  • Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development and implementation
  • Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills
  • Experience teaching Greek as a second or foreign language will be an advantage
  • Master’s degree in teaching Greek as a second or foreign language or Intercultural Education or any other relevant field will be an advantage
  • Experience in training of trainers/facilitators skills will be an advantage

Job Overview

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is a member of the coordination team of the project. He/she is responsible for setting up and supplying the databases with information for the project, collecting and compiling the necessary data, conducting interviews of beneficiaries when requested, and evaluating the progress of the project and its impact.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Monitoring and Data Collection

  • Conducts primary data collection, including interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions, upon request and according to the general and project-specific M&E plan, and in cooperation with Project Coordinator.
  • Collects data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators, and prepares relevant statistics, i.e. students’ attendance, teaching hours, etc.
  • Compiles projects and activities’ data and informs the relevant database and collection tool.
  • Assists in data quality assurance and managing data according to internal and donor standards.

 Evaluation

  • Ensures visibility and accountability material are in place and used.
  • Supports field teams on how to collect and analyze relevant project information.
  • Supports staff to ensure that projects are carried out with participation from beneficiaries and that information is shared with beneficiaries.
  • Coordinates the review of survey reports prepared to ensure quality and accurate reporting.

Other

  • Follows confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected.
  • Maintains contact with beneficiaries/target groups (receive requests, provide task-related information, etc.).
  • Drafts reports and prepares statistics and other information as requested by the project coordinator and donor.
  • Carry out capacity building activities and trainings relating to quality data collection and reporting for project staff
  • Participates to any other task to achieve the project’s objectives, including admin tasks.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position
  • Experience in working with NGOs and/or client-oriented services.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the humanitarian context and civil society environment in Greece.
  • University Degree in Humanities, Education, Political Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Statistics and/or related field.
  • High computer literacy especially EXCEL.
  • Database management experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the two following languages: Greek, English.
  • Respect of humanitarian principles.

Job Overview

The Project Assistant Officer is a member of the coordination team of the project and serves as a point of contact and link between employees, internal departments (Log, HR, FIN) and external parties. She/he handles clerical and administrative duties, analyzes and improves office processes, ensuring organizational policies are in place and the smooth operation of the office.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

General Administration

HR

  • Implement SN’s internal communication policies and ensure HR reporting for the project
  • Find the best options to avoid and/or resolve labour conflicts in the project under the guidance of the HR department
  • Update the project’s organizational chart and job descriptions, assisting with preparing annual holiday planning and staff shifts in order to forecast HR needs
  • Plan and participate in HR processes such as recruitment, training, briefings, evaluation and development of staff
  • Ensure that hiring, contract amendment and termination formalities for project staff are carried out according to internal policies, under the guidance of HR and by preparing and filing all relevant documents
  • Plan the Annual Leaves of the Personnel
  • Manage logistical and administrative aspects of personnel traveling (tickets, planning of cars, etc)
  • Train, supervise and assist with the staff management

General Administration

  • Provide logistics and admin support in general for visits, meetings and workshops
  • Provide regular secretarial tasks, such as taking minutes of staff meetings, correspondence, updating general contact lists, following up on stationary needs
  • Filing of general office documents
  • Undertake any other tasks requested by the Project Coordinator when the need arises
  • Place calls and write letters to local authorities
  • Responsible for the orders of the project in coordination with the Procurement Department
  • Provides admin support to ensure compliance with labor law for all sites where SN staff is working

FIN

  • Assist in preparing project budget and follows up expenditure
  • Ensures compliance of expenses with valid account/source of fund /donor combinations
  • Contribute in preparation of all periodic financial statements and reports, as per donors’ requirements, and prepare any other necessary report and compilations, under the guidance of the Project Coordinator and in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Monitors petty cash expenses
  • Check invoices and expense reports

Required qualifications and skills

  • Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience in administration of programs, and/or finance and/or human resources

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Education related to Obstetrics/Midwifery
  • Experienced in midwife tasks

  • At least one (1) year experience in working with migrant/refugee children
  • Fluency in Greek and English. Knowledge of Arabic/Farsi will be highly appreciated.

Generic responsibilities

  • Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during educational activities for adult beneficiaries of international protection;
  • Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during informative sessions, briefings, trainings etc;
  • Provides written translation of documents to English or Greek;
  • In coordination with other team colleagues, participates in field-trips and other external activities;
  • In coordination with other team colleagues, ensures that all beneficiaries feel comfortable and safe to share their concerns freely, as well as participate in classes and other educational activities;
  • Respects the code of conduct of the organization, with emphasis on confidentiality;
  • Performs other position-related duties as assigned by the respective Team Leader.

Qualifications-Essential

  • Excellent command of Farsi;
  • Excellent command of English and/or Greek;
  • Minimum one-year professional experience as an interpreter or cultural mediator;
  • Familiar with protection issues related to refugee population;
  • High professional ethics;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with children of all ages, background and diversity;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in multi-ethnic environment; Cross Culturally Aware and flexible;
  • Strong team player;
  • Well organized and efficient, flexible, able to handle pressure well and adapt in different working environments;

Desired:

  • Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered an asset
  • Field Working Experience in Camps/Temporary Settlements of refugee/migrant population
  • Computer literacy
