  • Directly supervises 3 persons
  • Total number of employees: 340

The objective of the position of the Head of Human Resources is to ensure that Solidarity Now has the appropriate set of human resources skills and motivation to carry out the organization’s programs effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and oversees implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall strategy of SN
  • Is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Human Resources Department
  • As part of the Management Team contributes to the strategic planning and day -to-day management of the organization
  • Supports current and future organizational needs through the development, engagement, motivation of SN human capital
  • Develops, reviews and monitors overall HR policies, systems and procedures across the organization (recruitment and selection, personnel development, induction, grievance, performance management, health and safety a.o policies) and ensures compliance with national legislation and donor requirements
  • Nurtures a positive working environment across the organization and proposes measures, as well as, supports managers and other members to manage issues related to personnel management
  • Works closely with heads of other departments, promotes culture of synergies
  • Reviews and administers employees’ benefits programs, such as health plan and other measures for the well-being of employees
  • Prepares, follows up, reviews the SN’s human resources budget
  • Ensures that personnel files are complete as per internal procedures
  • Prepares reports related to HR planning and performance as per internal procedures and key indicators
  • Plans and manages meetings within the HR department and with all SN personnel for HR related issues
  • Identifies needs and organizes trainings and other capacity-building plans with special focus to the needs of the field teams
  • Represents organization in personnel-related concerns hearings

Requirements

  • University degree and Postgraduate degree in a related field (eg. Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology)
  • Proven working experience in a managerial position with HR responsibilities for at least 4 years
  • Ability to lead strategy

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Greek labor law and HR best practices
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures
  • Knowledge of ERGANI System
  • Knowledge of HRM ERPS (experience with Pylon-EpsilonNet desirable)
  • Perfect command of Greek and English , extra language desirable
  • Good knowledge of IT tools (excel, word, ppt)
  • Demonstrated interest in social development / humanitarian issues,  NGO experience strongly desirable
