Job Overview
SN is seeking a qualified and experienced social scientist, who will collaborate with the National Center for Social Solidarity (Ε.Κ.Κ.Α.) as part of the project “PROCAP / PROtection of victims of trafficking, CAPacity building and support to key stakeholders” aiming to establish a robust system of protection and support for third country nationals (TCN) who are trafficking victims, while promoting updates knowledge on trafficking prevention and identification through a gender and child-sensitive approach.
Responsibilities
- Mapping of the current situation in the network for the protection of victims of trafficking groups;
- Mobilization of psychosocial intervention units
- Update of relevant training tools
- Drafting or updating of operating procedures
Qualifications
Essential
- University degree (preferably Master’s) from an accredited academic institution, in Social Scientists (Social Work, Law, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Psychology).
- Minimum two years of experience in relevant field in projects serving vulnerable groups, especially victims of trafficking, refugee and migrant population;
- Previous experience of human rights/protection work, especially of vulnerable social groups;
- Awareness and ability to work with victims of trafficking and survivors of Gender-based Violence and the sensitivities and confidentiality measures that this involves.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamworking & communications skills;
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload using initiative when appropriate;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluency in English
- Excellent computer skills – confidence with IT tools and software
Desired
- Previous work within an NGO context is highly desirable;
- Knowledge of the legal framework for victims of human trafficking;
- Previous employment in the field of protection of victims of human trafficking;
