Reports To: Project Coordinator

Responsibilities

Social Services Provision

• Perform regularly field visits to various locations
• Provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space for beneficiaries
• Plan, prepare and facilitate activities (workshops, group sessions, psychosocial support sessions or other community-oriented activities) aiming beneficiaries’ empowerment
• Support communication and cultural or language mediation (community engagement activities)
• Engage in outreach activities to target communities or individuals, encourage and support their participation
• Identify needs, risks and vulnerabilities
• Ensure referrals internally and externally and follow up on referrals whilst always respecting confidentiality
• Identify particularly vulnerable individuals/groups and facilitate their access to available aid

Data base and Case related info management

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of beneficiary interactions and case progress.
• Prepare regular reports on activities and outcomes.

 Other Duties

• Collaborate with other actors in the area (public sector, NGOs and INGOs) to link the beneficiaries with the services needed
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Required qualifications and skills

•  Degree on Social Work
• Permission of Work
• Experience in social work within the civil society sector, preferably working with vulnerable groups and refugees/migrants
• 2 years’ experience in relevant position (ex. in projects serving refugee women and migrant population)
• Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues
• Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility
• Computer literate & numerate
• Well organized and efficient
• Good interpersonal & communications skills
• Native in Greek
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Driving license category B

 Desired

• Knowledge of French, Farsi or Arabic
• Field work experience, e.g. in camps or temporary settlements
• Interest and experience to work with vulnerable groups
