The program ThessVolunteer is an initiative developed in collaboration between SolidarityNow and the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. Its main objective is to strengthen the civil society in the city of Thessaloniki, through volunteer contributions and via activities such as trainings, seminars, and communication with informal volunteer networks in Thessaloniki such as Thess-Diktio and Select Respect. Emphasis will be given on exploring volunteer initiatives and mapping the volunteer landscape in Thessaloniki for individuals who wish to contribute to their community but lack knowledge on how to start this journey. Lastly, the program will create an environment where volunteers and volunteer coordinators will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and share stories and experiences.
