Job Overview

The Female Friendly Space Facilitator acts as the coordinator of the space for women and girls. She facilitates access and ensures overall smooth functioning of the space; she conducts tailored psychosocial activities, identifies protection needs and works with other team members in providing support (including counseling and referrals); she encourages the participation of women and girls in group and individual activities (including awareness-raising on SGBV issues, among other themes, and skills-building sessions), so as to facilitate their overall integration and wellbeing in Greece.

• Identifies protection and other support needs and refers them to respective colleagues or/and other service providers
• In coordination with the team’s social scientists, assists in case management and provision of psychosocial support to vulnerable women and girls
• Carries out awareness raising sessions focusing on gender issues/GBV, Health/Hygiene, Nutrition, Livelihoods, Skills-building etc. Other group activities may include informal trainings, counselling, discussions, information-sharing, art therapy, playtime etc.
• Carries out community mobilization around the FFS by disseminating clear messages on its role and objectives
• Liaises with other service providers onsite and follows referral pathways, upon consent of the beneficiaries
• Keeps accurate attendance records and reports in a timely manner, following respective deadlines and procedures

Qualifications

Job Overview

The Director of Programmes (DoP) leads the programmes department which is responsible for the development and implementation of all the organisation’s programmes in accordance with the organisation’s strategic priorities and donor agreements. The DoP is a key member of SolidarityNow’s Senior Management Team and directly supervises all staff (Project Coordinators, Project Managers, M&E Manager) in the Programmes Department.

Responsibilities and Duties

Overall management and coordination of programmes

• Oversee all projects throughout duration of project cycle, to ensure quality of implementation, impact, and identify areas for improvement.
• Liaise with donors for the implementation to overcome any challenges relating to current projects, ensure quality of implementation and continuation of activities.
• In collaboration with Project Coordinators, ensure that project implementation is timely, on target, and on budget, overcoming challenges identified during the process.
• Provide technical support to the implementation teams and ensure that implementation is standardised across teams and geographical locations.

• Good knowledge of Greek and international humanitarian systems, institutions, donors, procedures and accountability frameworks and best practices in emergency management
• Substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control and securing and managing grants from major institutional donors
• Highly reliable, able to consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Creative and strategic mind with the ability to multitask
• Excellent writing and communications skills
• Fluency in Greek and English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and CRM databases
