Job Overview

The Female Friendly Space Facilitator acts as the coordinator of the space for women and girls. She facilitates access and ensures overall smooth functioning of the space; she conducts tailored psychosocial activities, identifies protection needs, and works with other team members in providing support (including referrals); she encourages the participation of women and girls in group and individual activities (including awareness-raising on SGBV issues, among other themes, and skills-building sessions) so as to facilitate their overall integration and well-being of beneficiaries.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Create a safe and welcoming environment for female beneficiaries.

· Maintain a comfortable and safe environment where women and girls can participate in psychosocial activities and receive appropriate support, including services for toddlers with their mothers.

· Prepares and implements structured activities for women, girls and mother-child, including the design of weekly schedules and timetables, through a participatory approach, tailored to their needs, skills and cultural diversities

· Identifies protection and other support needs and refers them to respective colleagues or/and other service providers

· Carries out awareness-raising sessions focusing on gender issues/GBV, Health/Hygiene, Nutrition, Livelihoods, Skills-building etc. Other group activities may include informal trainings, group discussions, information-sharing, art therapy, leisure time activities, playtime etc.

· Carries out community mobilisation around the FFS by disseminating clear messages on its role and objectives

· Liaises with other service providers onsite and follows referral pathways, upon consent of the beneficiaries

· Keeps accurate attendance records and reports in a timely manner, following respective deadlines and procedures.

· Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the setting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Knowledge of Farsi

· Preferably holder of a bachelor’s degree in Humanitarian/Social/ Psychology Sciences.

· Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly women and girls.

· Knowledge of female-related issues and gender dynamics.

· Driving licence issued in Greece (category B) and at least 3 years of driving experience

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

· Sound work ethics.

· Well-organised and efficient.

· Fluency in Greek and English languages (both written and spoken).

· Knowledge of French is an asset.

Main Responsibilities

· Supervise, coordinate, and guide the ASC Employability Team.

· Organise and coordinate employability activities (focus groups, counselling sessions, presentations).

· Provide employability support, job matching, and career management advice to individuals from vulnerable groups.

· Provide input in the design of new programmes relating to employability.

· Provide information and capacity development to individuals, tailored to their profile and career goals (including basic IT skills, interview and presentation skills, soft-skills development, CV building, job searching, contextual information related to the Greek labour market, etc.).

· Analyse and understand the current employment context and related opportunities.

· Use labour market information to establish partnerships and collaborations with potential employers and job-seeking platforms, creating further opportunities for prospective job seekers.

· Match the profile and skills of prospective job seekers to available vacancies in SN or other suitable vacancies and opportunities.

· Maintain and encourage appropriate referral pathways with an array of stakeholders – private sector, academic/vocational institutions, and relevant state actors.

· Carry out information and training sessions with varied groups of people.

· Suggest innovative activities for beneficiaries, employers, and the community, based on the context analysis.

· Maintain a data management system to ensure that progress and data are documented and reported in accordance with relevant quality standards.

· Prepare progress reports (narrative and quantitative).

· Represent the Employability Team in external meetings and working groups.

· Review workflow and provide recommendations for increased impact.

· Create and maintain appropriate liaison with employers and networks of employers, and update the relevant database accordingly.

Required qualifications and skills

Essential:

· Experience in employment support, recruitment, capacity building, and/or training.

· Excellent case management skills and track record of delivering quality services to a large pool of beneficiaries.

· Knowledge of the Greek labour market and how to navigate it to better match opportunities with the profile and skills of a candidate.

· Well organised, structured, and self-disciplined, with excellent time-management skills.

· Very strong interpersonal skills.

· Good networking and relationship management skills.

· Flexibility, adaptability, and innovation.

· Project/team management experience.

· Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Fluent in Greek and English (both written and verbal).

Desirable:

· Education in career development, social service and/or human service-related field.

· Experience in employment support for people of different backgrounds.

· Knowledge of employment Law.

· Experience with and knowledge of the NGO sector in Greece.

· Experience in project development.

· Prior use of CRM software.

· Knowledge of Arabic/Farsi/French or other relevant languages is desirable.

· Proficient with MS Office.

· Fluency in Greek and English.

· Knowledge of French will be an asset.

Job Overview

The postholder will be responsible for the effective implementation of employability activities, with a particular focus on supporting women. Working under the guidance of the Employability Services Coordinator, they will be expected to multitask, actively follow up on cases, and be directly involved in delivering a range of employability initiatives targeting project beneficiaries and liaising with the private sector.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload, providing personalized employment support, job matching, and career guidance services.
• Deliver tailored information and guidance on key employability topics such as CV preparation, job search strategies, interview techniques, and education/training.
• Analyze labor market trends and identify relevant employment opportunities.
• Utilize labor market information to research and establish new relationships with employers, creating additional employment pathways suited to individual needs.
• Match job seekers with job openings and training opportunities aligned with their profiles and aspirations.
• Support the implementation of capacity-building programs for beneficiaries, including SolidarityNow’s ongoing AI-skills training initiative; responsibilities include beneficiary identification, enrollment, attendance monitoring, and coordination with trainers to address challenges.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, notes, and electronic files in line with data protection standards.
• Collaborate closely with the broader SN Employability team to increase successful employment placements.
• Organize and participate in employability-related events and initiatives (e.g., job fairs, employer networking sessions).
• Facilitate group sessions focused on accessing the labor market, with an emphasis on empowering women from marginalized backgrounds.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

• University degree in Humanities, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, or Economics.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in career guidance, employability services, or employment-based case management.
• Demonstrated experience working with women from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds.
• Solid understanding of labor laws and working conditions in Greece.
• Highly organized and self-disciplined, with strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Results-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

 Desirable Skills & Attributes:

• Education or training in career development or vocational counseling.
• Strong case management skills with experience handling high caseloads while maintaining service quality
• Experience supporting women facing additional vulnerabilities (e.g., survivors of gender-based violence or trafficking, migrants, refugees, or individuals with mental health challenges).
• Background in recruitment or employer engagement.
• Familiarity with NGO operations and practices.
• Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
