About the Project

UNICEF, together with the Ministry of Health, has launched the National Programme for the Promotion of Family and Child Health in Greece. A key component is the piloting of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, an evidence-based intervention that equips parents with skills, confidence, and knowledge to support their children’s development and wellbeing.

The program is implemented by SolidarityNow in the regions of Attica, Central Macedonia, and Epirus and includes perinatal parenting support and support for parents of children aged 1–16 years. Activities include parenting seminars, group sessions, individual counselling, psychosocial support, and community outreach.

Position Summary

The MEAL Officer will design, coordinate, and oversee the monitoring and evaluation framework of the program, ensuring accountability and learning across the three regions. S/he will work closely with Parenting Practitioners and the Project Manager to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting, and will produce consolidated reports for UNICEF. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) is critical to ensure the project’s quality, impact, and alignment with UNICEF standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and roll out tools and systems to monitor program delivery.
• Train Parenting Practitioners on data collection and record-keeping.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of attendance, outreach, and outcomes from all sites.
• Conduct data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to assess project outcomes and impact.
• Prepare mid-term and final evaluation inputs, highlighting successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Support the documentation of best practices for future scaling. Establish confidential feedback channels for parents and ensure safeguarding compliance.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences, public health, statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in M&E or MEAL within NGOs, UN agencies, or health/social projects.
• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Excellent skills in data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Prior experience with UN/INGO donor reporting is a strong asset.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
