SolidarityNow supports the operation of Female Friendly Spaces (FFS) in Thessaloniki and surrounding accommodation sites.

The project “Female Forward • together for women’s inclusion” was launched in July 2024 and its main objective is to empower and support women and adolescent girls, through the operation of spaces specifically designed for them, the so-called “Female Friendly Spaces • FFS”.

SolidarityNow drawing on its extensive experience in this field, and responding to women’s needs for socialization, skills development, support and creative expression, operates Female Friendly Spaces in four locations in Northern Greece (the organization’s Thessaloniki Solidarity Center, Accommodation Sites for Asylum Seekers in Serres, Polykastro and Vagiochori).

The spaces act as meeting points and safe spaces for women where they can support, learn, carry out activities and empower one another. The FFS operate by social scientists, complemented by volunteers to carry our activities and forge linkages with the local community, hence strengthening efforts towards integration and social cohesion.
