Job Overview
The coordinator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the ASC, which provides integrated support to vulnerable individuals. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The coordinator will focus on fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, while addressing the diverse needs of the Center’s beneficiaries.
Responsibilities
Center Management and Operations
- Coordinate and oversee daily operation of the ASC to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and guidelines in line with organizational standards and donor requirements.
- Coordinate resource allocation, logistics, and scheduling for all ASC activities.
- Oversee ASC budget and ensure financial resources are used efficiently and transparently.
- Monitor physical space to ensure safety, accessibility, and welcoming for all beneficiaries.
- Act as focal point between SN HQ (for management and support departments) and the ASC.
- Collaborate with SN Communications department to promote the work of the ASC and advocacy staff to bring forward and address field issues identified.
- Collaborate with SN programmes department for the development of new projects and interventions, complementing and strengthening the effectiveness of ASC operations.
Team Leadership and Supervision
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychologists, lawyers, employment officers, accountant, educators, and cultural mediators.
- Provide regular supervision and capacity building for team members.
- Promote teamwork, inclusivity, and a beneficiary-centered approach within the team.
- Ensure knowledge of, and adherence to, SN policies and procedures.
- Lead field-level HR processes (recruitment, evaluation, and development).
Reporting, Monitoring and Accountability
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of ASC services.
- Regularly collect and analyze data to ensure evidence-based decision-making.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to donors and organizational leadership, detailing progress, challenges, and successes.
- In collaboration with MEAL staff, address complaints, feedback, or concerns from beneficiaries in a professional and compassionate manner.
Partnerships and Representation
- Maintain strong relationships with local and national authorities, NGOs, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Represents SN and the ASC with project donors, local communities, civil society actors, local and national government, and media in consultation with SN Senior Management.
- Facilitate partnerships to expand the reach and impact of the ASC services.
- Maintains collaborative relationships with authorities, local actors, and stakeholders.
- In collaboration with Community Engagement Officer, liaise with local communities creating / maintaining a vivid network of stakeholders and actors in the city.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to provide comprehensive and integrated support services.
Qualifications
- University degree (preferably Master’s) from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Social Sciences, management or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in managing or coordinating humanitarian or social service projects, ideally in urban settings.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing service delivery for vulnerable populations.
- Strong knowledge of the challenges faced by vulnerable groups, such as refugees, migrants, and marginalized communities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse and cross-cultural stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Greek and English (written and spoken). Additional languages are an asset.
- Familiarity with Greek social welfare and legal frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong sense of initiation, responsibility, ownership, and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word business software.
