Reports To: Senior Psychologist                

Overview

The Psychologist / Psychotherapist provides psychosocial support to beneficiaries of the Athens Solidarity Centre and specialized counselling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychosocial support to beneficiaries of the Athens Solidarity Centre.
  • Ensure referrals internally and externally, including GBV referrals.
  • Complete psychological intake of beneficiaries.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid, with particular attention to different vulnerabilities of men, women, boys, and girls.
  • Establishing and leading group sessions, based on needs identified.
  • Preparation of internal reports and collection and uploading of case information in ASC database.
  • Ensure smooth cooperation and collaboration with other psychological services, both within SolidarityNow and with other organisations.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree (preferably Master’s) from an accredited academic institution, in Psychology or relevant social science with long standing experience in similar role.
  • Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility
  • Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls.
  • Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility
  • Computer literate & numerate.
  • Well organized and efficient.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills.
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and spoken).
