Reports To: Employability Services Coordinator

Job Overview

The postholder is responsible for the successful implementation of the assigned employability activities of the project, with emphasis to female population. Under the guidance of the Employability Services Coordinator, s/he will multitask, perform vigorous follow-up and get directly involved in the implementation of different employability activities related to the beneficiaries of the project.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of cases to employment, job matching and career management service.
  • Provide information, advices and guidance to the POCs (women of disadvantaged background) on key knowledge areas including; CVs, Job searching, Interview skills Coaching and Training/Education, to enhance current and future employability.
  • Analyze and understand current employment context and related opportunities.
  • Use labor market information to research and build additional relationships with employers, creating further employment opportunities appropriate to the needs of the POCs (women of disadvantaged background) base.
  • Job match POCs (women of disadvantaged background) with vacancies and opportunities.
  • Maintain a record system, case notes and other electronic files to a high standard to ensure high quality standards.
  • Closely collaborate with SN employability services to improve the percentage of successful employment matches of SN employability services
  • Participate in, and organize, events and activities (e.g., job fairs)
  • Conduct group session related to accessing the labor market, with a focus on women of disadvantaged background

Essential skills & Attributes:

  • Degree in Humanities/Psychology/Sociology/Political Sciences or Economics
  • 2-3 years experience providing career and employment-based case-managed services
  • Proven working experience in collaborating with individuals of disadvantaged backgrounds, especially women
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of labor law and work conditions in Greece
  • Well organized, structured and self-disciplined, with excellent time-management skills
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Result-oriented and able to work autonomously
  • Fluent in Greek and English (both written and spoken)
  • Proficient with MS Office

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Education in the career development, vocational counselling
  • Excellent case management skills to deliver a quality service to a large total caseload
  • Experience of employment support for women with other vulnerabilities (mental health, victims of GBV and trafficking, immigrant and refugees, etc.)
  • Recruitment experience
  • Experience with NGO environment practices
  • French is desirable.
