Responsibilities

• Implement Greek language classes per the refugee population needs

Qualifications

Project Management & Implementation

• Coordinating projects across thematic areas (education, livelihoods, protection, and access to justice) ensuring quality of interventions.

Job Requirements / Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in a humanitarian/ development context, including significant field experience.

• Master’s degree in relevant field (i.e., Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law) or equivalent experience.
• Outstanding project management and organisational skills.
• Sound knowledge and experience of NGO humanitarian/development program cycle management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the teaching staff, identify and provide individualized support to children with psychosocial and/or special educational needs and/or disabilities;
• Organize an identification and referral system for children at risk including services such as medical, legal, psychological, WASH, shelter etc;
• Perform social work duties and undertake procedures implementation when referral(s) to other services are required;

Required qualifications and skills

• University degree in Social Work, or other Social Science (e.g. Psychology);

• Minimum one-year professional experience in social work within the civil society sector, preferably working with vulnerable groups and refugees/migrants;

To SolidarityNow αναζητά έναν έμπειρο δικηγόρο, ο οποίος θα ασχολείται με ένα ευρύ φάσμα νομικών θεμάτων, τα οποία αντιμετωπίζουν άτομα που υφίστανται πολλαπλές διακρίσεις. Ο δικηγόρος θα πρέπει να είναι εξοικειωμένος με το νομικό πλαίσιο της εμπορίας ανθρώπων, ιδίως σε περιπτώσεις μεταναστών, προσφύγων και αιτούντων άσυλο, και να είναι διαθέσιμος για τακτικές τοπικές μετακινήσεις.

Αρμοδιότητες

• Άμεση νομική βοήθεια: παροχή νομικής συμβουλευτικής και υποστήριξης μέσω ατομικών ή ομαδικών συνεδριών σε υπηκόους τρίτων χωρών

Αρμοδιότητες

• Παρέχει σαφή και ακριβή προφορική διερμηνεία, κατά τη διάρκεια ατομικών συνεδριών με τους ωφελούμενους σε μια η περισσότερες από τις ακόλουθες γλώσσες: Αραβικά, φαρσί, νταρί, ουρντού, παστού, γαλλικά
• Παρέχει σαφή και ακριβή διερμηνεία, κατά τη διάρκεια ενημερωτικών συνεδριών, ομαδικών συνεδριών, ενημερώσεων, κατάρτισης κ.λπ.
• Διασφαλίζει ότι οι ακριβείς πληροφορίες μοιράζονται με τους δικαιούχους με κατανοητό και πολιτισμικά κατάλληλο τρόπο
• Παρέχει γραπτή μετάφραση εγγράφων
• Σε συνεργασία με το προσωπικό του SN, συνοδεύει τους δικαιούχους σε δημόσιες υπηρεσίες ή άλλους οργανισμούς
• Σε συντονισμό με άλλους συναδέλφους της ομάδας, διασφαλίζει ότι όλοι οι ωφελούμενοι αισθάνονται ασφαλείς να μοιραστούν τις ανησυχίες τους
• Σέβεται τον κώδικα δεοντολογίας του οργανισμού, με έμφαση στην εμπιστευτικότητα
• Υποστηρίζει τις προσπάθειες προβολής του προγράμματος και ενημέρωσης νέων ωφελούμενων στις κοινότητές τους
• Παρέχει υπηρεσίες διερμηνείας μέσω τηλεφωνικών κλήσεων ή εξ αποστάσεως, όταν χρειάζεται
• Εκτελεί άλλα καθήκοντα που σχετίζονται με τη θέση, όπως του αναθέτει ο συντονιστής του

Προσόντα

• Άριστη γνώση μιας ή περισσότερων από τις ακόλουθες γλώσσες: αραβικών, φαρσί, νταρί, ουρντού, παστού, γαλλικών
• Άριστη γνώση της ελληνικής (κατά προτίμησης) ή/και της αγγλικής γλώσσας
• Τουλάχιστον διετής επαγγελματική εμπειρία ως διερμηνέας ή πολιτιστικός διαμεσολαβητής
• Εξοικείωση με θέματα προστασίας που αφορούν τον προσφυγικό πληθυσμό
• Υψηλή επαγγελματική ηθική
• Άριστες δεξιότητες διαπροσωπικής επικοινωνίας, επικοινωνίας, ακρόασης και παρατήρησης, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της ικανότητας δημιουργίας εμπιστοσύνης, υποστήριξης και σεβασμού
• Ικανότητα δημιουργίας και διατήρησης αποτελεσματικών εργασιακών σχέσεων σε πολυεθνικό περιβάλλον- διαπολιτισμική ευαισθητοποίηση και ευελιξία
• Καλά οργανωμένος και αποτελεσματικός, ευέλικτος, ικανός να χειρίζεται καλά την πίεση και να προσαρμόζεται σε διαφορετικά εργασιακά περιβάλλοντα

Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 – The job holder will have regular contact with children

Responsibilities

• Implement Greek language classes per the refugee population needs
• Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum, targeting and addressing the needs of different age groups of children and teenagers
• Provide homework support for the children who attend formal education
• Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population’s needs
• Update and maintain effective workplans
• Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of classes
• Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy
• Support education, recreational and various activities
• Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid

Qualifications

• Excellent Greek and English 
• Degree – Bachelor degree in education (any subject) or Greek
• Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration
• At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities
• Experience teaching Greek as a foreign language
• Experience engaging with parents and communities in order to improve attendance and address students’ needs
• Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education
• Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills
• Experience in training of trainers/facilitators skills will be an advantage

Job Overview

The post holder is responsible for the successful coordination of ACE Program in the region of Greece under the guidance of the Project Coordinator. She/he will multitask, perform vigorous follow-up and get directly involved in the implementation of different activities related to the beneficiaries of the project, as well as the supervision and capacity-building of the teams.

Generic responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and designs curricula for the educational project; researches and defines educational goals, objectives, and methodologies to meet program goals
• Provides guidance, training and capacity building to the teams of SN educators, and partners across Greece; collects best practices emerging from the field, and disseminates accordingly.
• Determines formats and approaches to achieve the educational project objectives; defines needs of target population; researches trends at the national and state level, as appropriate to the position
• Oversees educational activities, to meet the requirements of the donor and the project’s targets
• Monitors the activities and the results achieved against the project indicators, in collaboration with Project Coordinator, Project Area Managers and MEAL Manager
• Participates in educational working groups, meetings with donor and other stakeholders
• Participates in the development and/or revision of the project proposal; prepares reports and papers as appropriate
• Participates in the development of educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, etc., as appropriate to the project
• Performing any other tasks related to the implementation of the educational aspect of project as requested by the Project Coordinator or the Project Managers

Qualifications

• University degree (preferably Master’s or PhD) from an accredited academic institution in Education, with a specialization in refugee education.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant position.
• Previous experience in working with migrant/refugee population.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
• Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education curricula.
• Program planning and implementation skills.
• Knowledge of the educational environment in Greece. Institutional donors’ regulations and requirements will be appreciated.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word business software.
• Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility.
• Ability to work on own initiative and at the same time as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to work under a distance-management scheme;
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate;
• Energetic, enthusiastic and able to motivate others;
• Demonstrating high cultural sensitivity.
